The FCF03FT-01B from YAGEO is a 1Ω thick film chip resistor in a 0402 (1005 metric) package, part of the FCF series. With ±5% tolerance and 0.063W power rating, this low-value resistor is suitable for current limiting, signal damping, and low-resistance bias applications. The 0402 footprint enables compact PCB layouts while the thick film technology provides cost-effective performance for general-purpose applications. The Ni barrier Sn-plated termination ensures reliable solder joints in lead-free reflow processes.

The FCF03FT-01B uses a thick film resistive element composed of a metal glaze (ruthenium oxide based) deposited on a high-purity alumina ceramic substrate. The resistive layer is laser-trimmed to achieve the target 1Ω resistance with ±5% tolerance. The three-layer electrode structure (silver inner, nickel barrier, tin outer) provides reliable solderability and prevents silver migration. The low 1Ω resistance makes this device suitable for current sensing applications where a small voltage drop proportional to load current is developed across the resistor.
