The GBU1010 is a compact single-phase glass passivated bridge rectifier with 10A forward current and 1000V reverse voltage rating, packaged in the small GBU through-hole form factor. This miniature bridge rectifier integrates four silicon diodes in a full-wave bridge configuration, providing space-efficient AC-to-DC conversion. The GBU package with its compact dimensions and low profile is ideal for space-constrained PCB designs. Featuring glass passivated junctions for reliability and high surge capability, this device serves low-to-medium power applications including consumer power adapters, LED drivers, set-top boxes, and general-purpose power supplies.

The GBU1010 performs full-wave rectification using four diodes in a bridge topology. In each half-cycle of the AC input, two diodes conduct to direct current through the load in the same direction. The glass passivated chip junctions provide stable electrical characteristics with low reverse leakage current. The compact GBU package mounts through the PCB with two AC input pins and two DC output pins, providing a minimal footprint solution. Despite its small size, the internal frame provides sufficient heat dissipation for continuous 10A operation with appropriate PCB copper area for thermal management.
