The IL715-3E is NVE Corporation’s high-performance 4-channel digital isolator featuring patented IsoLoop® Giant Magnetoresistive (GMR) isolation technology. This device provides 2.5kVrms galvanic isolation between its logic sides while enabling high-speed digital signal transmission up to 110Mbps. With a low typical propagation delay of only 4ns and exceptional common-mode transient immunity of 100kV/µs, the IL715-3E is ideal for high-speed isolation applications in industrial automation, power electronics, and communication systems. The device operates with supply voltages from 2.7V to 5.5V on both sides, supporting mixed-voltage system designs.

The IL715-3E uses NVE’s proprietary IsoLoop GMR (Giant Magnetoresistive) technology for signal isolation. Digital input signals drive micro-coils that generate magnetic fields across the isolation barrier. On the receiving side, GMR sensor elements detect these magnetic field changes and convert them back into digital signals. This magnetoresistive approach eliminates the LED degradation mechanisms found in optocouplers, providing superior long-term reliability and stability. Each channel operates independently with unidirectional signal flow from the input side to the output side across the isolation barrier.
