The IRF3710STRLPBF is a 100V N-channel HEXFET power MOSFET in a D2PAK surface-mount package. Using Infineon’s advanced silicon processing, this device achieves very low on-resistance while maintaining fast switching characteristics. The D2PAK package offers excellent thermal dissipation through its large drain tab, making it suitable for high-power surface-mount designs.

The IRF3710STRLPBF operates as an N-channel enhancement-mode MOSFET. Applying a positive gate-source voltage above the threshold (2-4V) creates an n-type inversion layer in the p-type body region, forming a conductive channel between the heavily n-doped source and drain regions. Higher VGS reduces on-resistance. In switching applications, the device transitions between cut-off (blocking) and ohmic (conducting) states. The gate oxide provides complete electrical isolation between the gate and channel, resulting in extremely high input impedance.
