The IRFB5615PBF is an N-channel enhancement mode MOSFET that operates by applying a positive gate-source voltage above the threshold (3-5V) to create a conductive N-type channel between drain and source. When VGS=10V is applied, the device is fully enhanced with minimum on-resistance (39mΩ maximum) for efficient power delivery to audio loads. The Digital Audio HEXFET technology is specifically optimized for low gate charge (Qg) and low switching charge (Qsw), which significantly reduces switching losses and improves Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) performance in Class D amplifier applications. The low reverse recovery charge (Qrr) of the body diode further contributes to improved audio quality and reduced electromagnetic interference. With VGS=0V, the MOSFET blocks up to 150V across drain-source.
