The KLM8G1GETF-B041006 is an 8GB eMMC 5.1 from Samsung integrating V-NAND (3D NAND) Flash and controller in a 153-ball FBGA package. HS400 mode provides up to 400 MB/s throughput. Samsung’s V-NAND technology delivers high density, improved endurance, and lower power compared to planar NAND. Built-in ECC, wear leveling, and bad block management simplify system design by eliminating the need for an external NAND controller.

The eMMC integrates Samsung V-NAND array and controller. V-NAND uses 3D stacked cell architecture for higher density and better endurance than planar NAND. The controller manages: (1) ECC — multi-bit error correction for TLC NAND, (2) Wear leveling — distributes writes across blocks, (3) Bad block management. HS400 DDR signaling on 8-bit DAT bus at 200 MHz achieves 400 MB/s peak. Command queuing improves random I/O performance.
