The LT T673-Q1R2-25 uses an InGaN (Indium Gallium Nitride) LED chip that emits green light when forward current flows through the PN junction. The specific InGaN composition determines the emission wavelength — higher indium content shifts the emission toward longer wavelengths (green to red). At 529 nm, the emission is in the green region of the visible spectrum. The luminous intensity of 1.2 cd is relatively high for green LEDs because the human eye has maximum photopic sensitivity at approximately 555 nm, making green light appear brighter than other colors at the same optical power. The forward voltage of 3.7V reflects the wider bandgap of the InGaN material compared to red AlInGaP LEDs (typically 2.0V). The 120-degree viewing angle is achieved through the package lens geometry and internal reflector design. The LED must be driven with constant current — the intensity is approximately proportional to forward current below the saturation point.
