Working Principle
The MCP609 uses a CMOS input stage with rail-to-rail common-mode range achieved by parallel N-channel and P-channel differential pairs. The output stage is a CMOS push-pull that swings to both supply rails. Micropower operation is achieved by biasing the input stage and gain stage at sub-microampere levels. The 0.9uA per-channel supply current enables years of operation from coin cells. The chip select (CS) pin on MCP609 puts the device in shutdown mode with 100nA supply current.
