The MR/C-01 is a KEMET zero-phase current transformer (ZCT) from the MR/C series designed for residual current detection in electrical safety systems. It provides non-invasive current sensing with a 15A rated current and 12.5 mV output voltage. The through-hole mounted transformer features a 6.0mm inner diameter for conductor routing, making it ideal for residual current circuit breakers (RCCB), earth leakage detectors, and smart metering applications.

The MR/C-01 operates as a zero-phase current transformer. When a conductor carrying AC current passes through the center aperture, the transformer detects the vector sum of all currents (phase and neutral). Under normal conditions, the vector sum is near zero. When a ground fault occurs, the imbalance creates a net magnetic flux that induces a voltage in the secondary winding proportional to the leakage current. The 12.5 mV output at rated current provides a measurable signal for downstream detection circuitry.
