Working Principle
The NSI8241 uses on-chip transformers for galvanic isolation. Data is encoded as high-frequency pulses transmitted across the isolation barrier via planar micro-transformers. The receiver decodes the pulses back to digital levels. Bidirectional isolation is achieved by placing transformers on both sides. The high CMTI (Common Mode Transient Immunity) results from symmetric transformer design and differential signaling across the barrier. Default output states ensure safe outputs during power-up and loss of input signal.
