The TFE-22-X is a 22 AWG hookup wire with PTFE (Teflon) insulation designed for high-reliability wiring in extreme environments. PTFE insulation provides outstanding thermal stability up to 200 degC, excellent chemical resistance, and superior electrical properties including low dielectric constant and low dissipation factor. The wire is suitable for high-temperature, high-frequency, and chemically aggressive environments where conventional PVC or XLPE insulated wires would degrade.

The TFE-22-X operates as a conductor with PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) insulation. The stranded tinned copper conductor provides flexibility and corrosion resistance. PTFE insulation is a fully fluorinated polymer with exceptional thermal stability, chemical inertness, and outstanding dielectric properties. The insulation does not melt or soften at temperatures up to 327 degC (PTFE melting point), and can operate continuously at 200 degC without degradation. PTFE is inherently self-extinguishing and produces minimal smoke when exposed to flame.
