The TODX295A(F) from Toshiba is a TOSLINK general-purpose optical transceiving module with 650nm LED emitter and integrated photodetector. It supports DC to 10Mbps NRZ data rate over plastic optical fiber (POF) up to 50m. The 5V single-supply module mounts through-hole with JIS F07 fiber connector interface. The (F) suffix indicates RoHS-compliant lead-free version.

The transmitter section contains a 650nm visible red LED driven by an internal LED driver circuit. Digital input modulates the LED on/off at up to 10Mbps. The receiver section contains a PIN photodiode and transimpedance amplifier that converts received optical signals back to digital electrical output. The 650nm wavelength uses all-plastic optical fiber (APF, 980/1000um) with 0.5 NA. Optical output power is -15 to -9 dBm.
