Product Overview
The TMS320DM368ZCE is a high-performance digital media system-on-chip (DMSoC) from Texas Instruments’ DaVinci™ video processor family. Featuring an ARM926EJ-S core running at 432 MHz and two dedicated video image coprocessors (HDVICP and MJCP), this device is optimized for HD video encoding and decoding at up to 1080p 30fps H.264.
Packaged in a 338-ball BGA (ZCE package), the DM368 integrates a comprehensive Video Processing Subsystem (VPSS) with hardware face detection, a resize engine (1/16x to 8x), three 10-bit HD video DACs for analog output, and a flexible image sensor interface supporting CCD/CMOS sensors with BT.656 and BT.1120 standards. The device also offers a rich peripheral set including 10/100 Ethernet MAC, USB 2.0 OTG, DDR2/mDDR memory controller, five SPI interfaces, two UARTs, and two MMC/SD/SDIO controllers.
Pin-to-pin and software compatible with the DM365, the TMS320DM368ZCE operates over an extended temperature range of –40°C to 85°C and is fabricated in a 65 nm process technology. Its configurable power-saving modes and optimized architecture make it ideal for battery-powered and cost-sensitive video applications.
