With 3.3 uF capacitance, +/-10% tolerance, and a 305 VAC rating, this metallized polypropylene capacitor is designed for across-the-line EMI filtering in AC mains applications. The self-healing film construction ensures reliable long-term operation, while multiple international safety approvals (UL, ENEC, CQC) guarantee compliance with global equipment safety standards.

The B32924D3335K000 uses metallized polypropylene film construction where a thin metal layer is deposited on the dielectric film. In normal operation, the capacitor provides a low-impedance path for high-frequency EMI signals while blocking the 50/60 Hz mains voltage. If a dielectric breakdown occurs due to a voltage transient, the thin metallization around the fault point evaporates (self-healing), isolating the defect and restoring capacitor function. The X2 safety classification means the capacitor is designed to fail safely in across-the-line applications without creating a fire or shock hazard, as required by IEC 60384-14.
